Caroline Boudoux of Polytechnique Montréal is developing a new textbook in collaboration with Xavier Attendu, a PhD student in her team, and Jérémie Villeneuve, a lecturer in Engineering Physics at Polytechnique.

The book is aimed at undergrads. The first part presents the principal stages involved in engineering design and describes the tools required by engineers for each of these stages. The main part is aimed at enhancing the training of future engineers by proposing workshops in electronics, technical design, communications and sustainable development. Finally, the third part features case studies presented by Quebec engineers and highlights the value of using design methodology in biomedical, chemical and aerospace engineering.
