Research performed by Samuel Beaulieu currently working towards a double PhD degree under the supervision of François Légaré at INRS and Yann Mairesse at Université de Bordeaux was recognized among the top 10 discoveries of 2018 by Québec Science Magazine.

The work was first published in the prestigious Science magazine in 2017 and focusses on molecular chirality. When interacting with a laser, changes can occur in the molecules’ chemical properties. The resulting ionization was later studied at the attosecond scale.
