Projects in progress :

How can we get fiberoptic networks to transport even more information? Can we achieve this with new multi-core or ring core optical fibers? How can we miniaturize sensors and deploy them in a network capable of collecting information on biodiversity in the North? Can integrated photonic devices on silicon be combined with microfluidics and microelectronics to create such smart sensors? These are some of the questions being addressed in my research activities.

The research I am conducting consists in modelling, simulation and experimentation. My laboratory is equipped with the latest systems and instruments for characterization and testing of fibers and devices.

The projects available present several opportunities for student internships through international collaborations and industrial partnerships.
